The Saffron Syrup
An ancient recipe from the Middle Eastern culture which we at Saffronice have lovingly formulated to suit the Western palate. Due to fermentation, Saffron Syrup provides a full spectrum of gut-loving good bacteria.
Saffron Syrup Ingredients:
Raw Queensland Honey, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Premium Quality Saffron & Whole Mint. ZERO processed sugar, colours or preservatives.
Size: 440ml - One bottle can make up to 2.2 litres of Saffron drink.
This syrup can be fermented or enjoyed as is after mixing with water or soda water.
Quick Mix: Add Saffron Syrup to either soda water or regular water. The amount depends on your taste. Add a slice of lemon or a few leaves of mint for extra taste.
Saffron Syrup Fermentation method:
Mix 1 bottle of Saffron Syrup with four bottles of water (approx 2L)
Store at room temperature for 4-6 days in airtight bottles. Refrigerate once gas has developed in the bottles.
Use within 30 days.
Tip: If the mix is too sweet for your taste, leave the bottles out of the fridge for an extra day or two. Remember, this is a live, healthy drink, and the bacteria are still working by consuming the sugar from the honey. The longer it is kept at room temperature, the lower the sugar content will be, creating more gas.
Drink chilled and enjoy!
Other Usages: Add a portion of the syrup to olive oil as a salad dressing and season with salt and pepper.
